ok, i know this isn't halloween, but that's exactly my point! back on october 3rd, i ordered a spider-girl costume from holloweenshop.com & #1- it's backordered. #2- when it comes "overnight complimentary shipped" or whatever & when i go to pick it up at the post office, there's POSTAGE DUE! so, i refuse the package & send an e-mail to them telling me why it was getting sent back. they said "sorry" and told me they'd give me a refund.
well, it's been 2 fucking months & i still don't have my $$! i payed $20 + shipping & handling and they haven't given any of it back to me.
i know there are some lawyers (or at least one) around here. what should i do?

Well... first it's a question of where the business is. Is it within the state of New York? I'm not sure that it makes a difference. I'd definitely call them and give them hell. Then tell them that they have a very, very short time to fix there shit and expedite a refund before you consider a legal remedy. Be... vague and professional sounding.
My advice during said call is to be very, very peaceful sounding. Crisp. If they don't sound credible, ask for a manager IMMEDIATELY. Hell, I'd just ask for a manager as soon as someone answers the phone.

If that fails and you don't receive it ASAP, call me and I'll call them. I LOVE yelling at phone-jockies. I particularly enjoyed pissing off Comcast during my last debacle with them. The good news is... I WON!

Did you use a credit card? If not you should have. If so just fill out the form on the back of the statement and let the credit card company take care of it. They will give you your money back and get their money from the business.

i used my bank debit/credit card. i'll probably go down to my bank tomorrow (if it's not -20 deg out) and i'll see if they can do something for me.
